How to use this resource

Navigation, or finding your way around

We are using a blogging technology here in an unusual method. The usual practice is for keen followers of the blog to be interested in the latest additions; we are asking you to start from the beginning and work your way through, giving each artist equal respect of attention.

We have uploaded each submission in order of entry and so there are more than 70 artists figured here. Blogspot (the system you are on right now) will default to showing you the most recent entries. For the current submission there is probably more to read so look for "READ MORE"

At the bottom of the page, look for "OLDER POSTS","NEWER POSTS" to run through the chronological sequence; and,

"MORE POSTS" which will take you to the previous 6 or 7 submissions.

Another wrinkle is that last month's submissions are hidden further away. At the top look for the and click through to find "Archive"

Use the down arrow to look at March 2023. Being a "helpful" system Blogspot will probably always try to focus your attention onto the latest thing in April 2023. We have our own views about "helpful" systems...

Finding a resource, using search

You will find a magnifying glass search button at the top right 🔍. Click on it and search for artist's name, or specific word e.g. butoh or dance

Commenting, or engaging with other artists

Being on a learning curve, we elected to use a blogging site for the rapid updating and inclusion of each new submission; enabling your interactions has proved to be problematic for many. It's tempting to move over to email but this will exclude others from the shared resource, so
you want to ask the artist a question

So Aldo is logged on and writing this post for you, Blogspot knows that he has a gmail account. If you have a gmail account and are logged on with it you will be offered this option. Select it if you can.
In this case there is a tickbox which will mean you'll get an email if there's any response on your comment.

---------------------------------------

Next option is the Name/URL route

We might type this -- be sure to use your own data, if you have a website use that. Do not forget the 'https:' detail at the front, and then press CONTINUE

-------------------------------------------

Anonymous commentary has to be your last option : the recipient doesn't have any context for you. As a courtesy, introduce yourself using your full name "Hi, I'm ... " or sign-off, again with your full name. Just please do not go there if you can make the others work.

Have you still got problems with comments?

  • Try another browser -- for better or worse, we use Google Chrome
  • If your error message complains about "3rd party cookies" you may find in your browser settings, words like 'Privacy and Security' and from there to a section on 'Cookies' and find if there is a heading for 'Sites that can always use cookies' -- allow Blogspot.com to do this and to set 3rd party cookies.

Have we forgotten anything?

Email us, don't raise a comment , winks!
