Louisa Pankhurst Johnson

I am obsessed with photographing water mostly the sea, self shadows and reflections. Seeing the images in my 'minds eye' are a devotional experience. 'Visual Poetry' images are created while in a state of Social Mystification' which I transfigure into sublime canvases of Reposeful and Spiritual Contemplation'.'Visual Poetry' embodies the work of Karl Marx, Aristotle, John Berger, Rothko, Kazimir Malevich and John Piper.

  2. yes, please tell us more. I was intrigued by the suggestive image and also by the notion of a state of "Social Mystification", as well as the interesting selection of influences you cite, Marx etc. I wonder what threads connect these influential people for you? what aspects of them attract you? have they anything in common other than that they influence you? and most interestingly for me, i think, given that none of them are photographers, how does your interest in them somehow metamorphose into a created photographic image?
